Strategy
We started building this brand identity around the family’s tongue-in-cheek humor and the core idea that their beef quality is "out of this world." This simple yet powerful concept gave us a rich territory for exploration.

Logo Ideation
We presented several logo directions, including classic, high-end approaches like custom script logotypes accented with stellar iconography. The client resonated most with the whimsical and memorable option: the Cow Astronaut logo. This direction captured the blend of premium quality and approachable family humor. We paired the illustrated bovine with a logotype featuring bold, geometric, space-craft-inspired typography, giving the final mark a modern, authoritative feel.

Branding
This logo became the foundation of the visual system. We built a concise color palette around this direction, utilizing shades of blue, cream, white, and black. The primary blue hues carried the astronomical theme while also grounding the brand, representing the vast, open sky the ranch’s free-range cattle roam under.

Packaging Ideation
After the success of the core branding, Supernova Ranch tasked us with designing the packaging for their first line of condiments, starting with their hot sauce. Named "Big Daddy’s Man Sauce,” the packaging needed to be as bold, funny, and unforgettable as the name itself. The client provided highly specific, playful direction: the label had to feature the family’s favorite breed of fluffy chicken, the Silkie, and a character they created, "Big Daddy" the cowboy. We provided a range of layouts and illustrations for the packaging label, and the client chose the first direction with one edit: Big Daddy should have a hot sauce gun.

Label Design
We embraced their humor, executing a final illustration that put the cowboy in his element with hot sauce grenades on his belt, the Silkie chicken cradled in his arm, and the signature hot sauce gun blazing. The label also featured the Supernova brand mark prominently, to build brand recognition and continuity across their growing product line.

We ensured the Supernova Ranch team was equipped with versatile, production-ready assets. The final hot sauce packaging, for instance, was delivered as an editable, print-ready PDF where the flavor profile could be easily updated by the client for future variants, greatly streamlining their production workflow.

Conclusion
To further support their rapid growth, we also created cohesive logo lockups and illustrations for their planned lines of snacks and seasonings. This focus on providing comprehensive, adaptable brand components allowed Supernova Ranch to manage their inventory and product launches independently, ensuring they could move forward quickly and efficiently within their own budget constraints.
